Fiji was composed of 322 islands and 522 small islets, of which 106 are populated. The two most important island of Fiji are: Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The islands are generally mountainous with peaks up to 1,300 meters and are covered with dense tropical forests. Viti Levu holds the capital city of Fiji-Suva. Other important towns of Fiji are: Nadi, Lautoka, Labasa and Savusavu. The economy of the country is heavily dependent on forests, minerals and fish resourse. Some of the Top Cities in Fiji are:
Nadi: Nadi is the third largest town in Fiji and one of the Top Cities in Fiji. It is a multiracial town. Many of its inhabitants are Indian or Fijian along with a large foreign population. Because of the Sri Siva Subramaniya temple it attracts many tourists every year. It is the city with the higest concentration of hotels and motels in Fiji. Fiji's main international airport is located 9 kilometers from Nadi. It is a hub for commerce as well as of tourism.
Suva: is the capital of Fiji and is located on the southeast coats of the island of Viti Levu. It is the most important of the Top Cities in Fiji. It is the commercial and political center of Fiji. It is also the largest urban area in the South Pacific outside Australia and New Zealand. It is again, the main port city of Fiji.

Although Suva is on a peninsula and is surrounded by sea, the nearest beach is 40 kilometers away from the Pacific Harbor. Suva is noted for its rainfall that makes Suva popular as “the burning west.”
Savusavu: Savusavu is often referred as the hidden paradise of Fiji. For the last three decades the land remains almost unchanged. This place was originally established as a center for sailing ships trdaing in sandalwood, copra and beche-de-mer.
